Well, anyway, all this to say, Andersonville has become gentrified.

It is still very like, now it's kind of more like white families, like lesbian families, gay men with families.

So it's like a different kind of queer space than it used to be.

I'm thrilled that Nobody's Darling has been successful and created a space, especially for black lesbians, especially for people of color on the North side, which has traditionally been very white.

And also Chicago has two additional new lesbian spaces.

And one is more of like a sports bar going to play the WNBA games, which actually they do it.

I wanted to talk about gender and all of its dynamics and what's going to happen to quote lesbian bars.

For years, I could not remember that it was called my sister's room and frequently called it my sister's closet.

The first lesbian bar I went to in Chicago was actually, it was one of those, everyone knows it's a lesbian bar.

Lesbians go there constantly.

It's owned by a lesbian, but it's technically does not bill itself as a lesbian bar.

So it's like all the components are there.

at the same L word watch parties on the weekends.

It's like this is a dyke bar, but it's also a neighborhood bar.

I mean, the suspicion is that that's why he's been canceled, right?

Uh, yeah, I think there's no way around that politics played a role here.

I mean, as much as late night surely is losing viewers and money just in the nature of, um, the way the media is going right now, um, politics obviously, like everything else, plays a huge, a huge role, and there's no way around that.

His, and Stephen Colbert specifically's, uh, late night jokes about the president and about the administration clearly, uh, rubs Trump the wrong way.

What is he gonna do next?

Well, he did just sign up for a personal TikTok, which I think is so ironic considering that, um, much of the conversation around where and why late night is not, uh, where it will go and w- and what will happen to it is because people have ultimately gone online as opposed to turning on their televisions late night.
