Imi LoHOST
In fact, why don't you tell us, the audience, a little more about yourself? I mean, I can read out a bio that is extremely impressive, from TED Talk to your work in bioethics, but I do want to hear from you, like, how would you characterize your work and your own passions?

Travis RiederGUEST
Um, so I have been working in philosophy and practical ethics for, um, call it 20 years, including graduate school, and I've had a couple of enduring projects.

Travis RiederGUEST
And so probably the most enduring project in engaged ethics has to do with, um, climate change, uh, overpopulation, planetary limits, nutrition policy.

Travis RiederGUEST
The fact that we live on a closed planet with finite resources and a very large population just makes a lot of really big collective problems really quite hard in this moment.

Travis RiederGUEST
Some of my earliest publications were on that topic, and that's what I pick up in Catastrophe Ethics, which just came out a couple of years ago.
