When you do start from your high school playing career and take us through college, your pro ball years, and also through your coaching career to the point where you were finally named the head coach at Lynchburg.

My story is a little unique, and I'll try to conface it as best I can so it's not too lengthy, but essentially I was not very good in high school.

I was tiny, not very well recruited.

Legendary Tom Austin at Methodist honestly was the only school that recruited me.

You mentioned Coach Scali.

Justin was actually a pitcher on that Methodist team when I went and did a visit.

You know, was a middle infielder.

Did you know Coach Jones was going to walk off after the 2023 season and Lynchburg just happened to win it all on his way out? Or was this one of those cases where Coach Jones took the opportunity to leave the game on top, like John Elway, for example? And as a secondary question, how much pressure did you feel not only inheriting a very good baseball team with super high expectations, but inheriting the defending national champions?
