So can you tell us a wee bit about yourself and what your role is in
32:20
SRC? Thank you and thanks for the invite today to come to speak to you.
32:25
Cherry's egg roll in SRC, I've been there for a couple of years, so predominantly my role is to make sure that we are talking about recovery in Scotland.
32:33
So a couple of dual purposes, we do a lot of work to support grassroots recovery organisations, so it might be four or five people wanting to meet in the church hall, we have a cup of tea to talk about recovery, but they need 500 quid to make that happen in relation to... renting out a hall or renting out a room or buying a cup of tea or buying a few bits to eat so we work really closely with grassroots organizations like that and we then might have organizations that want to get a wee bit bigger and want to be constituted because they want a wee bit of funding so we support them in that process and then we also support bigger charities that are recovery focused peer-led to look at big funding streams governance strategies so that's the kind of the grassroots stuff we do we also work with government quite a lot yeah We work with government because recovery's kind of slipped down the agenda in relation to the last few years in Scotland.

And we know how important treatment is.
33:24
Treatment is really important.
33:25
It saves people's lives.

So to know that there's other services out there that we can either start that journey off with or continue from whatever establishment we've been in is really important.
