We played a little walking on sunshine or everybody loves the sunshine for you there, Congressman.
4:36
Hey, Steve Shannon.
4:39
Jake Power's walkout song.
4:41
I still think that's my favorite song, though.
SteveHOST
4:46
Yeah, he was pretty amazing this week, wasn't he?
4:50
Sure was.
4:50
I mean, just to be able to go, what, 11 pitches and hit a homer, and then I think he did, didn't he do like a 12 pitch and walk, right? That was a big momentum.
5:01
Yeah, he did that.
SteveHOST
6:39
And people have to understand what's really, really on the ballot in a couple of weeks.
6:45
That's a really good point.
6:46
Just look throughout South America, Central America, and you've seen over the last few decades where they did go that way towards socialism, towards communism, and it fails miserably every single time.
6:58
And now voters throughout South America in some of those areas have said, no, no, we don't want that anymore.
7:03
And they've moved to, they want capitalism, they want free markets, limited government.
7:08
And it just, to your point, it does not work.
7:11
Look to Cuba, look to all of the countries.
SteveHOST
8:35
But after the midterms, we're going to get this thing taken care of and things will come down.
2:56
You also did some work to help out a hospital up in the Oconto area as well.
3:04
Yeah, the hospital, the Bell and O'Connell Hospital, they do a lot of, it's just great having hospitals and networks, whether it's in O'Connell, I've been to Chilton, they've got a great one there as well, and other areas.
3:18
In rural Wisconsin, rural northeastern Wisconsin, which I call real America, and I think those hospitals have been dedicated to their area, and it is so important.
3:28
For people that live out in the rural areas to have somewhere close to home to receive treatment, there they have in O'Connell an infusion center.
3:37
It's small.
3:38
It's kind of in a smaller, cramped area where people receive treatment for cancer and other things.
3:44
And they're going to go ahead and remodel that, make it really nice, add to it.

8 MINS LATER

11:40
You got a guy who can't tell the difference who's better between Israel and Iran in
34:36
Um, what can, what can Congress do to help, uh, these people?
34:40
Well, everyone plays a role, and I think, you know, I'm not always, um, you know, I don't always look at government as the solution to everything.
34:46
But here I think government is working.
34:48
You have your local government, which is extremely important, state, and then federal.
34:53
And how the process will work is locals, government, and the emergency management professionals, they're here to help.
34:59
Immediate needs, right? Basic shelter and things like that.
35:02
Then assess the damage.
35:41
So it's sort of interesting is that government needs to move a little faster.
65:50
This Plattner thing, though, is this really that this particular accusation has more credibility than all the previous accusations and, I don't know, Nazi tattoos and things like that? Or did this have more to do with Democrats' internal polling that said he couldn't win?
66:10
You know, I'm not 100% sure that, you know, I think the leadership of the Democrat Party, they are in turmoil right now.
66:17
They're continuously being pushed farther and farther left because that's where the base wants.
66:22
They're moving more towards socialism, more towards communism.
66:25
He certainly was a polarizing figure, but I think it's important that the American people, our civic duty is to elect moral and ethical leaders.
66:34
And clearly there was many, many instances here that show that he was not a moral and ethical leader and certainly not anybody that should be in a leadership position in our country.
66:46
So it is a good thing that we don't have people that act like this in Congress.
67:44
Congressman, it seems to me the underlying issue is that everyone wants to come to the United States, but few people want to contribute to the United States.
52:57
If you want
52:57
to shovel snow in New York, you have to get two forms.
53:01
I mean, it's completely common sense.
53:03
Look, over 80% of people agree that you should be a citizen to vote, and showing an ID just simply just shows that you're a citizen.
53:12
And so I don't understand what could possibly be the holdup.
53:15
The House, like I said, has gone alone.
53:17
Republicans have gone alone, but we passed it and sent it to the Senate and it continues to get held up in the Senate.

5 MINS LATER

58:47
McCormick.
74:57
And where is the Senate on this? And what about this filibuster situation? How is this all going to play out? What do you think? Good morning.
75:06
Hey, good morning.
75:07
Thanks for having me.
75:08
The Save America Act is common sense.
75:10
And I come from northeast Wisconsin, where we believe in common sense.
75:14
And there's no question that the majority of the American public, over 80% on the Republican side, over 70% on the Democrat side, think that it's a good idea that you should be a citizen to vote.
75:28
And, you know, I think you should have to show your ID to prove that you are a citizen to vote in federal elections.
76:41
Put into perspective for our viewers what ultimately happens with DHS funding, particularly since there is funding in place from the big, beautiful bill.
