What was the truth about your relationship?

I would say Hayden had a very happy life up until she got Heroes at 16.

So here she was the star of a major TV series, but I would say at about 17, I started seeing her going downhill.

As she got older, then it wasn't my voice anymore.

I wasn't in charge of her choices.

I tried to give her the best advice I could, but again, you know, any young person, teen, they want to be liberated, and I get that.

I did get that

What do you want Hayden to be remembered for?

okay

yeah um but uh but no but just a big ambassador of the sport and cared more about honestly teaching people how to shoot a bow than anything i just loved archery and and all that stuff and and i met my mom and my mom was very competitive she was a golfer and everything else and so she got into it well um you know i was nine at the time and he told me i couldn't bow hunt until i couldn't go deer hunting until i could pull back 40 pounds because that was the the state law in illinois and my mom actually could and so she got uh to go no no yeah she got to go the year before me but she didn't really do much there but then the the second year she got into it was my first year um she rocks a monster um i think it was 269 field dressed eight and three quarter inch bases double split eye guards double drop tines i'm getting ready to take possession of these deer um But long story short on her, she, um, ended up becoming, she was, I got an article over here.

It's a, she came on the front page of Buckmasters as America's best lady bow hunter in 1990.

So, so I was big into, into that with my mom's leadership and Jerry's leadership for sure.

You know, so, um, yeah.

And this is back whenever we used, you know, a whitetail hunter too.

You use a spring rest.

three okay we're not too far apart i was born in 74 so okay i'm picking up what you're putting down a lot of the same generational things big deer hunting from pennsylvania my dad was a deer hunter and yeah illinois was the was the place to go in the 90s for sure
