30:48
That could really be something that could surprise you out of the blue.
30:51
Yeah, absolutely.
30:51
Yeah.
30:52
And you know what? You're one of the few lucky ones that has a reasonable landlord.
30:55
I would say the fact that your landlord is willing to give you that flexibility through the end of the year is not a luxury that a lot of business owners unfortunately have.
31:04
Right.
31:04
So, you know, we see it happening a lot.
33:55
In other words, you care about the relationship and the long-term relationship you have with that business rather than taking the quick
52:53
Let's talk about them.
52:55
Yeah, definitely.
52:56
And Kevin, once again, great to be here.
52:58
So there's really four ways.
52:59
I mean, for most people, there's probably three ways, but I would say getting right into it, the more traditional route, which is the route everybody knows about is the bank.
53:07
Going to the bank is easier said than done for a small business owner, especially in this day and age, mostly because of the red tape.
53:15
I mean, we know that it's obvious, but you know, What most small business owners really don't think about is as a small business owner, you're trying to show as little income as possible, especially when the end of the year is near.

7 MINS LATER

60:57
You're working around the clock and you're ready to talk to people no matter what time they call.
32:39
So are there any any guidelines you can give us for how to price our inventory?
32:44
Absolutely.
32:44
Kevin, great to be here.
32:45
So we did our series on our Instagram very recently.
32:48
We call it the inventory trap.
32:51
And what it's about, it's basically, oftentimes we see clients coming to us for financing, for inventory, but they don't really have a great way to actually keep track of what sells, how to keep track of their inventory cycle, so to speak.
33:05
So they would often find themselves selling out on their top selling products.
36:16
the product pricing or the inventory pricing is just one of the hard ways that that people are trying to figure out what are some of the other big needs that people come to you guys for so
55:12
Our kids sees it and then they want it and they ask us for it.
55:16
Absolutely.
55:16
I can't say no to my daughter.
55:18
So that's one.
55:20
And then the other thing is sometimes we end up neglecting those things that we do need because we don't want to be bothered by it.
55:25
We don't want to spend the time or.
55:30
do these things.

5 MINS LATER

60:57
But why is it so important to you?
41:28
Yeah,
41:29
exactly.
41:29
So we had a, we had, we have a conversation, we have a strategy for our clients and we say, you know, look at your inventory cycle.
41:35
First thing you want to do is how much do you sell on a daily basis? Find out what that number is and then keep into account how long it takes for the shipping of new inventory to come in.
41:45
So giving you guys a perfect example, Or let's say you sell 10 items in inventory on a daily basis.
41:51
Over five days, that's 50 items, right? So then it takes about, let's say, five additional days for that inventory to come in.
41:58
So we always say add a cushion of 15.
44:27
What are some of the other big needs that people come to you guys for?
55:11
And sometimes it's just
55:12
a reorganization of your infrastructure.
55:16
Right.
55:16
There's things that maybe you're spending too much money on.
55:18
Maybe you shouldn't.
55:19
And oftentimes when a client isn't seeing profit, the first thing they do is they panic and they cut the things that actually are working instead of looking at what actually isn't working and getting rid of that.
55:29
A very common example of that is subscriptions.
58:41
How do you classify what a candidate is best suited for from the intake, from the first time they call you, what's it like? Walk us through that experience.
30:25
But help me understand how prevalent of a need are funding gaps when we're talking about small businesses these days?
30:33
Great.
30:33
Great to be here, Kevin.
30:35
Thank you for having me over here.
30:37
So it's actually quite common.
30:39
And actually, it's the reason why this is a multibillion dollar industry.
30:43
Small businesses have always struggled with the need for cash flow, just to fill in those gaps.
32:08
So you actually went out and said, I'm going to start helping people solve this problem on our own.
23:16
But help me understand how prevalent of a need are funding gaps when we're talking about small businesses these days?
23:23
Great to be here, Kevin.
23:24
Thank you for having me over here.
23:26
So it's actually quite common, and actually it's the reason why this is a multi-billion dollar industry.
23:33
Small businesses have always struggled with the need for cash flow, just to fill in those gaps.
23:40
Traditionally, they would go to their bank to solve these issues, but as banking regulations throughout the years have gotten worse and worse and more difficult to navigate, they That's where the private sector stepped in.
23:52
And this is kind of it's an industry that's taken over since about late 1999, and it's grown since.
25:16
100%.
