Is that something that's planned, still aspirational? Like, where are we sitting where that's concerned?

So right today, we have Dane County and Sauk County cooperating together to build, or not build, but in a sense, replace the old railroad bridge that crosses the Wisconsin River between Dane County and Sauk County.

And so that bridge is nearing completion.

And there's a small short trail that runs south from that bridge into Dane County and ends right now at a DNR conservation area.

And so current talks are, how do we get that little short spur of a trail connected to the Wolf Run Trail? Additional conversations are being had to extend the Wolf Run Trail south from the Wisconsin Heights High School trailhead into Black Earth, through Black Earth, and connect into the portions of the trail that currently run through the Cross Plains area.

So again, you run into some, I won't call them obstacles, but they're challenges where you have to work with local landowners Encourage them to see the value of a trail running through their property in order to make the connections between all of these little trails that are currently either built or envisioned.

So Lake Marion was established years and years ago as a holding or reservoir for the old mill pond and mill race in Mazemani at the old feed mill.
