Tom WillGUEST
you'll see swinburne and chaucer yeah um i'm getting to the answer i promise um but eventually again you have all these refrains and we're we're we're printing now we have the printing press or we have scrubs or whatever um and what will happen is like to save money time patience whatever whoever's writing these poems down You're writing lyrics when you're a kid in middle school, right? You're writing your Black Sabbath lyrics down, right? Well, you're not going to write the chorus down every time.

Tom WillGUEST
That's essentially what starts happening with these scribes or whoever's printing these books with rondelles in them.

Tom WillGUEST
Um, so what they do to symbolize, like, here's the refrain that's coming again, the whole line refrain is they just write the first word of the refrain again, or they just write the first phrase of the refrain again and go, you get the picture, et cetera, et cetera.
