T- describe the newspaper 'cause it'll give us some idea of what you're reviving here.
1:09
Um, the original paper was sort of New Haven's version of the Village Voice or the Boston Phoenix.
1:15
It was an alternative weekly.
1:17
Um, it covered everything from, uh, politics and, and, uh, local, both local and national, to, uh, arts, uh, books, travel, um, food.
1:31
Um, you know, it was a pretty cosmopolitan lineup.
1:35
And, uh, it had, uh, personals, classifieds, both very popular.
1:42
And, uh, it was also, it al- also had a fantastic listings section where the, the paper would come out on a Thursday and you'd be able to sit down and plot your whole weekend, or your whole week really, uh, around, uh, all the club listings and, uh, theater offerings around the city and in the surrounding area.

The original paper was sort of New Haven's version of the Village Voice or the Boston Phoenix.

It covered everything from politics and local, both local and national, to arts, books, travel, food.
63:44
It was a pretty cosmopolitan lineup.
63:47
And it had...
63:50
Personals, classifieds, both very popular.
65:26
Tell us about how this all came together.
84:03
We're gonna be taking a lot of naps in the afternoon and, you know.
84:06
Going to be.
84:10
Also, like John said, casting a wide net, you know, we want to do that with arts coverage as well.
84:16
You know, there were periods, periods, certain periods with the old paper where there were, we got complaints that there were certain gatekeepers curating what was covered, certainly in the arts and music.
84:30
So we're going to try and make it as wide ranging and ecumenical as possible.
84:36
You get as many different kinds of genres in there.
84:39
You know, musically, we've got something about hip-hop coming up in the next issue.
