Ugh.

And- So we would just talk about comedy stuff, cross paths.

He got into the stuff I was doing with John, the first stuff pre-Best Show, Rock, Rot and Rule.

And then, yeah, then his first movie was 2000.

T-t-t-t-2000, yes, 'cause it was Bring It On was the year 2000, and that was Peyton's first feature length film.

And I was just a big fan of the stuff he made.

I thought everything he directed was just great, and that's why when people were getting on, when people were complaining that Peyton was gonna do Ant-Man, and they're just saying like, "Oh, the guy who did the cheerleader movie's gonna do..." It's like, those are action scenes, guys.

Well, sure.

[laughs]

How great would it be if at the end of...

People sit for, like, two hours and 45 minutes through an Avengers movie, through the credits, and at the end it's Uma Thurman and Ray Fiennes-

[laughing]

Just that they do that thing where, when Ralph Fiennes squares off with Sean Connery, it's like, "Oh, a little trick I learned in Istanbul when I do the..." It's like, what is that like every British person? Like, it's like Mr.

Belvedere when he was always talking about-

It's e- it re- you know, it's, it's not like, "Oh, and next week you have in so-and-so and they're doing a funny call." And I think that that's one of the things that makes the show kinda so fun and unique too.

No, Jon and I hit on something early and other, like, there were stretches where other people called in and would do funny stuff.

Um, like Jon Benjamin would do stuff, uh, Sam Seder and Jon Glaser and Andy Earls and, but then there was a point where it was just like the thing that me and Jon are doing is the thing and I kinda need to just focus on that being the thing.

And doing that was just, kinda validated the thing that me and Jon have and then we were just partners forever.

Mm-hmm.

(laughs) He had a chip on his shoulder.

Yeah, so he builds this house in the side of a mountain.

So, you're, you're touring it and it's really impressive.

And the guy's just like, uh, th- in the '50s, he was like, "Well, if I'm g- I could charge people to tour it, I'd need to have a little bit more for it, so, to show them." So, he builds this museum down on the, at the, like at the bottom of the mountain, that is like, it's like just i- imagine, well, what's the museum have in it? Everything.

And I- I think it helped me.

Yeah, I- I agree with...

Look, I did listen to Howard Stern when I was in high school, and it just wa- like, it- it was an influence at a point, but as soon as he got like...

When he leveled up, I immediately lost interest in it.
