Is that right? Yeah.
10:01
Yeah.
10:01
So I sort of started getting a little niggle, um, in my groin probably two months before Perth.
10:08
And initially it was, it wasn't much at all.
10:10
Like I could barely feel it.
10:12
Um, it was only if I did like a deep lunge or deep squats and, um, like as a, as an endurance athlete, you always get little niggles and 95% of the time you can train through them.
10:25
You just got to manage them.
14:03
Uh, is it like, how do you, as an elite athlete then just go, okay, I need to actually get through this and manage my mind and, um, be okay with not doing the normal amount of exercise that I do.

What makes you say that? Or is it like benchmark tests that you're hitting or you're running fitness? What happened? Run us through that.
9:00
Yeah, it was both, to be honest.
9:02
I was running way less than I'd run in the past, but I'd just done heaps of cycling.
9:08
I was doing weeks of 400Ks a week over Christmas, and I think it just maintained my fitness.
9:15
So when I came back to running, my fitness came back really quickly.
9:20
and i was working with a physio brad beer um up on the gold coast and it just got me doing a lot more plyometrics and i think that really helped like my calf strength and calf power obviously improved and just in benchmark workouts i was probably running five seconds per k quicker than i was before worlds and i ran i think i had the third fastest run at worlds and i had a 327 average with the rock zone hopefully you know in all in all my sessions i was running around 320 per k in like my sims and that so yeah that was definitely the running where i'd improved and um i'd also spent a lot of time on the on the sleds and on my burpees because they're probably my biggest weakness and um yeah just in all my sims like that they'd come up a lot as well so It's just super frustrating to not get to show that in Brisbane.

What really, what happened for the first injury and what kind of led to that second injury too? Like you thought you're out of the woods and then boom, you got hit with a second thing.
13:01
Yeah, so it was September last year.
