So I'm half Palestinian, so working in the Middle East on education, I think is incredibly important to me simply by being from that part of the world.

In addition to that, and closely linked to that, I've always had a passion and an interest for international affairs.

And I recall from a very young age, probably around 13, 14, having been attracted to ideas like international cooperation, peace building, and things like that.

I recall the first time I read the Universal Declaration for Human Rights.
