Tell us about the Kyle Institute, if you would, and why is it important for Southern Arizona and the whole U.S.?

The Kyle Institute for National Security, it's a 5013C nonprofit that is formally affiliated with the University of Arizona.

It was re-designated to the Kyle Institute after the great Arizona Senator John Kyle in January of this past year.

Before that, it was known as the University of Arizona Applied Research Corporation.

It stood up in 2018 to really help connect the university's research enterprise to our national security partners to help solve those problems.

Many times, academia can move quicker and faster than big industry, if you will.

And so our job is to take some of those really tough problems, whether it's an industry trying to solve something or whether it's government that needs a solution, we can help connect them to the University of Arizona and the researchers there to solve that problem.
