And then m- maybe just elaborate a little bit of on, on how you met Brian and how you became a part of his team.

Yeah.

Um, well, I guess we start with how we, we started this whole thing.

Uh, I mean, I had, I had run this in '16 and '17 in Leadville, and then I'd gone out every year to pace or crew, uh, other people, and I ran into Brian after his second attempt.

And, um, yeah, he, he, I think he was pretty much done.

He didn't want anything to do with this.

[laughs] Um, so we, you know, I, we started talking online and, and, uh, and he decided to, he wanted to, to do it, you know, third time's the charm kind of thing.

It's like fishing stories.

Yeah

... where you're gonna be.

Um, I think if, you know, I had to, had to make a decision tomorrow, um, like who knows what that decision would've been.

But the fact that I'm making it in the, in the future means like really gotta look at, um, kind of how squads are gauge- how squads are tracking, how, um, how coaching teams are, are working together and, and make a judgment call based off that.

I, I said to the, um, the GM at, at Brumbies, um, he was the first person I called, um, out of respect for the club.

That, that means so much to me and still does.

I said, "If I was to come back to the Brumbies, it would've been a decision with my heart." Um, Canberra's home, you know, I, I feel like the, the city's adopted me and, and I've, I've, I love the city and all my time here.

Yeah.

Been, uh, been watching a few episodes and, uh, listening to a few in the car on the way here, so it was, uh, it was lovely.

Um, thanks, thanks very much for having me.

Uh, yeah, at the moment in rehab.

Um, only a short-term injury, so six to eight weeks.

Um, currently at six weeks, and probably looking like I'm gonna miss the finals coming up.

But really, uh, excited for the team and, and keen to get around them, make sure that they perform well in this finals campaign for the Prem Cup.
