It's
12:13
different.
12:15
It truly is.
12:16
And, you know, you and I may look through the lenses of a rational person at this and think, God, there's no way that I would even believe that.
12:24
But unfortunately, a lot of these men and women who have this are not mentally well educated.
12:32
who are experiencing various different mental issues and mental problems.
12:37
And, and it's, it's, it's different.
14:17
And that, you know, it's just it's the delusion of
16:17
known that issues with incompetence and trial or insanity as a defense, would they have maybe had an idea that that could be in the possible as this went forward?
16:29
Yeah, you know, you always – when these murder cases, as they progress, you really do.
16:35
You think about so many things, and it's not only investigators but working with the prosecution as well to think about, okay, here we are.
16:42
What could be some future defenses in this case? And, you know, you want to defeat them.
16:49
or at least have the answers to them while you have a fresh crime scene, while you have a suspect in custody, and maybe while you're interviewing somebody, you can think, okay, well, what ifs? And there's a lot of that from the investigation side.
17:03
What if he said this, and what if this was one of the defenses, and you want to try to, as much as you can, present enough to a jury or to a judge in a case that that person is fairly coherent in their answers and coherent in reliving a story about what they did that led up to it.
17:24
So much about a murder case is not only just what happened then, but in the hours and days preceding that.
17:56
He can still be tried down the road.
12:27
How did police get to that point?
12:30
So, you know, you have to factor in and you can't ignore his notoriety.
12:34
So when law enforcement gets there, they're, I'm sure, instantly made aware of who he is and what he is.
12:40
And so I don't like it necessarily that somebody of that stature gets a pass, if you want to call it that.
12:49
But a lot of times that's kind of what happens.
12:51
And especially in the past, a little, you know, as you go back there, that's kind of like, hey, this is...
12:58
This is okay, if you will, when it's not.
17:42
Is that right?
