But as a director, how do you get to that point of making it look that sort of way? Are there creative decisions in the script that you read that they're at a neon party with that sort of face paint? Or does it come organically in the pre-production process?

Tom GeorgeGUEST
These scripts, I think it's like, talking out of school to say that this script was evolving late, which is particularly a challenge for the cast and particularly for Ritu.

Tom GeorgeGUEST
He is a very comfortable improviser, and he can also process changes to script incredibly quickly.

Tom GeorgeGUEST
so for Ritu who who is in other has a couple of other moments in the series but in essence like 90 of her scenes in the series are in this one episode for the scripts to be changing as late as they were was really challenging and one of the things that was continuing to evolve until not the last minute but a week or two out was exactly what the nature of the club night would be ultimately it was in the script that it was a that it was a neon rave but that was kind of found in a dialogue between Riz and Ben Carlin, his co-showrunner, the writing team, and myself and Dan, the DOP, in terms of, it was to do with the storytelling element.

Tom GeorgeGUEST
There's a kind of key, they're looking for something in that club and it's like, well, how can they not find it? What's a thing that it could be that makes it, you know, they think, oh, we found this, she's trying to get her passport back.
