What are you going to use or what do you use? How do you ensure this connectivity is available to the farms?
1:59
We use a range of technologies.
2:01
Where we can, we will always try and maximize existing technology.
2:06
So if there is cellular network there, we will expand it.
2:10
Our core product's called commsXtend because it extends cellular networks.
2:15
Doesn't matter which one it is, our SIM cards go across all of them and work on performance.
2:20
But the interesting point you raised there is satellite.
4:14
What are you seeing in terms of New Zealand adoption of connectivity solutions as opposed to other markets that I know Connected Farms works in?
3:36
You know, I mean, we're told that it should be, you know, sort of we're at 98% or whatever it is, but the reality of that, Tom, is just, uh, you know, it's, [laughs] that, that isn't it.
3:46
Well, it, it, it, it's absolutely.
3:48
It, it's, it's getting, uh, for voice and, uh, messaging, it's getting a lot better.
3:55
Uh, we're seeing, uh, One NZ, formerly Vodafone, they've done some incredible work, uh, with Starlink actually, uh, to bring direct to device and, and that's a very important for safety, uh, consideration.
4:09
And you can...
4:10
I understand you can make calls with it on WhatsApp.
4:14
Uh, so we're taking the, the voice and messaging, the day-to-day stuff away, but what we're really concentrating on is, uh, modern agriculture is moving a lot of data now, and that's going to increase as we go.
5:06
So that leads me on, I think, to Comms Extend, which is Connected Farms' machine-mounted connectivity platform, right? So what, what can that be used for?
16:10
I mean, we're told that it should be, you know, sort of we're at 98% or whatever it is, but the reality of that, Tom, is just, uh, you know, it's, [laughs] that, that isn't it.
16:20
Well, it, it, it, it's absolutely.
16:22
It, it's, it's getting, uh... for voice and, uh, messaging, it's getting a lot better.
16:28
Uh, we're seeing, uh, One NZ, formerly Vodafone, they've done some incredible work, uh, with Starlink actually, uh, to bring direct to device, and, and that's, uh, very important for safety, uh, consideration.
16:42
And you can, I understand you can make calls with it on WhatsApp.
16:47
Uh, so we're taking the, the voice and messaging, the day-to-day stuff away, but what we're really concentrating on is, uh, modern agriculture is moving a lot of data now, and that's going to increase as we go.
17:02
Um, so everything, if, if you've got somebody, uh, uh, you know, working at yards with a, a, a wand and stuff like that, that's, that is... th- there's a lot of data being recorded, and you can either take it home with you and spend hours at night, or you can have something like an Amazon Leo with you, a pop-up kit, and you do it in real time.
17:40
So that leads me on, I think, to Comms Extend, which is Connected Farms' machine-mounted connectivity platform, right? So what, what can that be used for?

In this episode, Pastor Tom Andrews makes it clear what God's intention was in enabling us to be set apart or sanctified for the glory of God.
0:37
in 1st Peter chapter 3 of the hope within and we're going to pick it up in verse 12 for the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous and his ears are open unto their prayers but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil and who is he that will harm you if you be followers of that which is good but and if you suffer for righteousness sake happy are ye and be not afraid And here is Peter talking to the church, facing opposition, people who stood out, people who were in some regard being persecuted because they were children of God.
1:24
These were people who had been changed, they'd been born again, they were new creations like you and me here today.
1:29
And Peter's instruction is interesting.
1:32
He doesn't tell them to blend in, he doesn't tell them to become quieter, a version of a child of God.
1:39
He says, do not fear, do not be troubled, sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and be ready to give an answer of that hope that is within you.
1:49
And as we talk about the hope within, we are talking about hope in a biblical sense, not wishful thinking, not positive thinking, and not crossing your fingers hoping things will work out, but a biblical hope is a confidence and assurance, a settled confidence in who your God is and who you are in the sight of God.
4:32
[laughs]
4:32
In Australia, we have quite a, a, a level of connectivity.
4:37
We've fully automated three farms.
4:39
An autonomous machine should be that.
4:40
It should be autonomous.
4:42
But what, where it needs connectivity is if something goes wrong.
4:45
So if there's something in front of the machine, it detects it.
5:25
You're talking about big investment here, aren't you?
