But do you think any of this has been successful between the rallies, the campaign ads, the push, the October surprises has been effective to actually push people to get out and vote?
2:47
Well, good morning, Jenna.
2:49
And I've been out on a national book tour, also campaigning for a lot of the candidates.
2:54
And California was just down in Texas last week.
2:58
And today I'm in Georgia.
3:01
And I really do believe there is some excitement on the Republican side of the aisle.
3:08
Whether or not that translates into victories remains to be seen.
5:49
But that was the story, you know, kind of for a while when all of these legislatures were going through some of these redistricting fights.
41:14
But I don't think that a lot of the GOP or the White House is really giving a great response to that.
41:24
Well, look, I've been pretty vocal about the messaging and the communications part of this.
41:32
And I think that it's just getting worse.
41:37
There was a Mississippi senator, Senator Hyde-Smith, who was Cindy Hyde-Smith.
41:44
who when asked about the rising prices of groceries in the great state of Mississippi, suggested that people just need to pick another protein.
41:56
That was her response to reporters.
41:59
In Tennessee, a congressman said that if people can't afford ground beef, they should consider eating turkey.
45:38
And so, you know, as we are just a couple of weeks out from the midterms, where do you see the push that the GOP really needs to make to encourage people to actually get out and vote and vote all the way down ticket as well, not just for the top of the ticket, but all the way down and on every issue and elected office because they all matter.
80:49
Isn't our fight right now, Todd, for future generations? Would you agree?
80:55
Well, I think so.
80:57
And that's really why I wrote The Golden Age is for it's really a call to action for all of us to to stand up and fight for freedom.
81:09
And, you know, Ronald Reagan famously said our freedom isn't passed along in the bloodstream.
81:13
Every generation has to fight for freedom.
81:16
I think ultimately that's the battle cry of The Golden Age.
81:20
Who among us is willing to take a stand and defend freedom in the public arena? And that's why I really focused a lot on Generation Z in the book, because all indications are that this generation is, in fact, the most conservative generation since the World War II generation.
83:51
But his campaigning schedule is such that do you think it will move the needle on the 3rd of November? Todd, what do you think?
71:48
So where do you start with that, Todd? What actions can you point to that you believe that America was going down a perilous path and the president has turned this around?
71:59
It's a fair question.
72:02
You have to go all the way back to the Obama years.
72:05
When Obama promised to fundamentally transform America, I was actually the Fox News embed reporter with the Obama campaign.
72:13
I heard him utter those words in person.
72:16
And I don't think a lot of people understood at the time that was not just some sort of a pithy campaign slogan.
72:22
He really did want to change the direction of America.
75:30
What are your thoughts?
3:04
Because think about how different America would be if it was Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, part two.
3:11
Yeah, Rita, one of the reasons Memphis is a great city is because of Donald Trump.
3:15
And I write about this in the book.
3:17
The president was a guest on my radio show, and this was right after he sent the National Guard into D.C. And I said, Mr.
3:24
President, we appreciate you saving the nation's capital, but you've got to take a look at what's happening in Memphis.
3:30
It's like we call it Mogadishu on the Mississippi.
3:33
That's how bad it was down here.
5:30
And also, what's at stake in November?
2:53
Because think about how different America would be if it was Kamala Harris, Joe Biden part two.
2:59
Yeah, Rita, one of the reasons Memphis is a great city is because of Donald Trump.
3:04
And I write about this in the book.
3:06
The president was a guest on my radio show, and this was right after he sent the National Guard into D.C. And I said, Mr.
3:13
President, we appreciate you saving the nation's capital, but you've got to take a look at what's happening in Memphis.
3:19
It's like we call it Mogadishu on the Mississippi.
3:22
That's how bad it was down here.
5:19
And also, what's at stake in November?
26:41
That's why I had to play the he ain't Babe Ruth that he just said because think about how different America would be If it was Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, part two.
26:52
Yeah, Rita, one of the reasons Memphis is a great city is because of Donald Trump.
26:56
And I write about this in the book.
26:58
The president was a guest on my radio show, and this was right after he sent the National Guard into D.C. And I said, Mr.
27:05
President, we appreciate you saving the nation's capital, but you got to take a look at what's happening in Memphis.
27:11
It's like we call it Mogadishu on the Mississippi.
27:14
That's how bad it was down here.
29:11
And also, what's at stake in November?
9:55
And anyway, could you speak to that about the need to preserve actual history before it gets in the algorithm of the web?
10:09
So I write about this in the Golden Age, and one of the foundational themes of the book is this revisionist history.
10:19
And I was really concerned that even a lot of conservative Christians were thinking that President Trump's second term in office had not been all that successful.
10:28
So I went back and looked at the promises the president made on the campaign trail.
10:34
And I just I began an investigative process.
10:37
Did the president deliver on these promises? And I realized and I found that about 70 percent of the promises the president made have actually already been accomplished.
10:47
which is quite frankly phenomenal and extraordinary, especially in modern day politics.

8 MINS LATER

19:08
What's the responsibility of preachers? And I'm giving you the floor to give us some hard truth, my dear brother.
12:55
Would you sign it?
12:58
Yes, I will.
12:59
So there's a story there.
13:01
So when I grew up, I loved reading the works of like Louis Grisard, who is a great Southern writer and comedian.
13:11
And also, I loved reading the liberal humorist as well, people like Molly Ivins and Art Buchwald.
13:18
And even though I didn't agree with their politics, even as a youngster, I just love their ability to be able to spin a yarn.
13:25
And so we try to do that.

10 MINS LATER

22:58
It's perfect.
4:34
What is it you think that he understands about the frustrations and hopes of ordinary Americans that so many in the political establishment still don't understand?
4:45
Scott, I had the opportunity to interview the president over many different occasions for the book.
4:50
One of those, I was actually down at Mar-a-Lago, and I think this president can – I think I figured out the president because, I mean, he's this billionaire, and yet he so connects with the average American blue-collar worker.
5:06
And it's just really weird, right? So I'm sitting there having dinner on the patio at this beautiful – palatial um you know a club and i'm scanning the menu they have some of the finest foods available and as i'm scrolling down i see mrs trump's meatloaf so he literally has his mother's meatloaf recipe on the menu at mar-a-lago and it is an incredibly good meatloaf by the way But I think that that just goes to show you that in his heart, Donald Trump grew up upper middle class out in Queens.
5:41
And that sort of DNA is still very much a part of him.
5:46
And so when he sees these things, and he's a big sports guy, when he sees men beating up on girls on the sporting fields, that resonates with him in the same way it would resonate with you or me.
5:59
And I think that's one of the key things is that President Trump saved common sense.
7:51
What had been happening, I guess, set things up inside Memphis and what has changed?
4:34
What is it you think that he understands about the frustrations and hopes of ordinary Americans that so many in the political establishment still don't understand?

7:51
What had been happening, I guess, set things up inside Memphis and what has changed?
43:42
And I'm wondering, in your research, did it bring you to the Chicago Communist Mafia Party? That's what we developed and we did it perfectly.
43:51
Well, it did.
43:52
And not only Chicago, but we really hit on a lot of major American cities where this is a very clear and present danger to the republic.
44:01
Let's get real here.
44:02
Moms and dads, when they're sitting around in Memphis, Tennessee, eating dry rub ribs, or you guys eating the deep dish pizza in Chicago, they're not talking to the kids about the virtues of socialism.
44:14
This is happening in our classrooms.
44:16
You send your children to school.
48:22
Did you get any feeling of that when you talked to him over these times?
100:31
Also, you got Mom Dommy running New York City, of all places.
100:35
Well, you do, and just because you save something doesn't mean it can become lost again.
100:41
I do think that President Trump saved America.
100:47
The country suffers from, I think, short-term memory loss.
100:51
We forgot just how bad things were during the Biden administration, those dark years in the country.
100:59
And what President Trump has done since he was reelected is really quite remarkable.
101:05
And that's one of the reasons I wrote the book is that many of my fellow conservatives were beginning to buy into the far left narrative.

11 MINS LATER

112:13
But In the final analysis, you know, it's us and our belief in a higher power and our belief in ourselves to accomplish something or not and not turning over the keys of decision-making to some person who doesn't even know us in our representative democracy.
3:33
Also, you got Mom Dhami running New York City of all places.
3:37
Well, you do.
3:39
And, and just because you save something doesn't mean it can become lost again.
3:43
I, I, I do think that President Trump saved America.
3:47
You know, when you...
3:48
Uh, uh, you know, the, the country suffers from, I think, short-term memory loss.
3:53
We forgot just how bad things were during the Biden administration, uh, those dark years, uh, in the country.
8:07
Right.
25:45
What, what role do churches play?
25:48
Well, I think this is the most important thing of all, Cheryl.
25:51
Um, I truly believe that our nation was founded on the teachings of the Christian faith.
25:58
And when you take those, those teachings out of our founding documents and out of the way we conduct our affairs, then you get chaos in the culture.
26:08
And John Adams wrote about this when...
26:11
And this is what he meant when he said, "Our Constitution is wholly inadequate for anyone other than a moral and a religious people." Um, and, and I, I took people through, uh, the book and did a lot of research on, you know, some of the, the writings of our Founding Fathers, uh, where they talked about these issues in very frank terms.
26:32
And it was very clear to me that, that the Christian faith is really the foundation for who we are as a people.
28:51
So, how, how would a, a good Christian fight the development of the Islamic centers and the growth of Islam, [clears throat] excuse me, in America?
3:30
What leads you to suggest that this is, in fact, a golden age?
3:35
Mark, I was, I was so discouraged to hear many fellow conservatives starting to be dismissive of the president's second term in office, uh, buying into the left-wing narrative, uh, that this president has failed to deliver on his agenda.
3:50
So I just went back a- and looked at the campaign promises, uh, the president made on the campaign trail, and I just i- investigated every single one of those promises, did he deliver? And I will, I will tell you that about 70% of the president's agenda has been accomplished, which in and of itself is phenomenal.
4:12
But, uh, the, the idea here that he has, uh, somehow failed as a president is completely off-kilter.
4:20
And I do believe, you know, going back to the last administration, and we remind people of those, of those speeches that Biden gave, uh, with the blood red lighting.
4:31
Uh, we called that the Darth Biden speech-
8:13
Uh, just, uh, help me complete that list of things you'd like to see Republicans out there touting so that we can maybe, heaven, uh, heaven forbid, uh, keep and expand our leads in the, uh, our, our majorities in the House and Senate.
8:26
You know, I think the most dangerous thing that's, that, that is, the, the clear and present danger is what I call that Islamo-Communist, um, agenda, that is very dangerous, and it's growing across the country.
97:59
What do you say?
98:01
I was, uh, very alarmed, um, by the amount of, uh, vitriol, uh, coming out of the media, but also of late coming out of the conservative media when it came to President Trump.
98:12
And, um, a lot of people feel like he has failed, uh, in his second term.
98:18
And so I wanted to go back and take a look, and, and that's exactly what we did in the book.
98:23
We, we took a look at all of the promises he made on the campaign trail, and whether or not he delivered on those promises.
98:30
And sure enough, he has delivered on most of the promises he made on the campaign trail.
98:36
And so I, I wrote the book, um, explaining how, uh, President Trump saved America's military, he saved our schools, he saved our churches, and he saved common sense in America, among other things.
102:40
And, and they're all significant threats to the Republic, aren't they?
107:17
Kind of give us, like, what was the point where you said, I need to write this book? Like, what was the moment where you thought that?
107:24
People have really been ripping on President Trump, including a lot of Republicans.
107:28
And I thought, well, hold on a second.
107:30
And the media coverage is so skewed that perception becomes reality, even among some Republicans.
107:38
And so I wanted to sit down and write a book that really addressed the accomplishments of the president and just showed how effective he was.
107:48
And it's really remarkable when you sit down and you read all the things he was able to do.
107:54
And that's one of the reasons why I wrote The Golden Age.
110:14
Is North Carolina a conversation anywhere in the political circles?
0:07
Well, good morning, and what a blessing it is to be here in Southern California.
0:13
I flew in last night from my home in Memphis, Tennessee, and I was just so excited.
0:19
I was telling Brother Ryan, who, by the way, what a great blessing he is, amen? Brother Ryan was telling me that you guys are dealing with humidity, and I'm like, what humidity? What humidity? I said, this is great weather out here.
0:33
My goodness.
0:35
You know, before we get started, I just have to tell you how much I love California.
0:39
You have a beautiful state.
50:39
He's at least giving solutions instead of just saying, oh, communism is bad.
50:43
It's a great point you raise.
50:46
And again, I address this in the book, The Golden Age, going all the way back to, I would say, 2007, 2008.
50:52
I was writing about this at Fox.
50:56
where schools were actually teaching children in a very weird way that socialism was actually far better than capitalism.
51:05
And they were doing that through clever cartoons and a lot of propaganda.
51:11
And I don't think the conservative movement understands that our nation's taxpayer-funded classrooms have been turned into those propaganda centers.
53:21
I sort of thumbnail it here for me in terms of how Trump saved America, because I think there are a lot of people who would immediately say, yeah, if we continue going down that path, if Kamala Harris had, God forbid, won that election, it could very well have been over.
7:13
What does that say about New York?
7:17
Well, I think the question we need to be asking is, what does it say about America? My chief political strategist, a guy by the name of Joshua Jones, was on our show yesterday, and he nailed this.
7:30
He predicted it would be a sweep of the socialists in New York City.
7:36
And I'm not terribly surprised.
7:38
I think you have to go all the way back to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, AOC, and her win for Congress.
7:45
And at the time, I said on the radio, pay very close attention to what's about to happen to the Democrat Party.
7:53
This is going to be the start of their version of the Tea Party moment.

5 MINS LATER

13:04
And how do you make sense of somebody who claims to be a born-again believer, to follow Jesus, to follow the Bible, and yet they would vote for a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, socialist candidate? How do you reconcile that in your mind?
