How did that car come to be? Was that something you always wanted? Was it something that was just an opportunity and too good to deal to pass

up? It kind of goes back to...

you know, when the, when the B5 RS4 was first announced, it was like, I had seen, I had seen an RS2 on my travels to Europe, you know, and I didn't even really know they existed.

And this is probably like three or four years previous to that, right when they came out.

And I had no idea.

I wasn't so, I just liked Audis.

I wasn't ingrained in like, you know, the history and like what was coming and what was new and, And I had seen an RS2 in Europe and I just tripped out.

Um,

Mm-hmm.

... and, and, and, you know, the exploration of the, of the West.

And, you know, though Lewis and Clark gets a lot of, uh, credit for it, which they, you know, is well-deserved, you know, Black cowboys were, uh, equally as a part of that migration, you know, uh, from the South to the West.

And most people think that, you know, dur- after slavery, everyone went to the North.

But that's not really historically, you know, uh-... totally accurate.

A lot went to Mexico and a lot went to, to, to the West, and the Buffalo soldiers was definitely a good part of, of that, uh, exploration.

So, do you mean, like, the barbecue culture of Chicago was shaped by Black folks who came not just straight up north, but through the Southwest and then up to Chicago?

Well, I think the barbecue culture of Chicago is, is shaped by the migration, uh, uh, you know, of us moving to the North, you know, where some went to New York, some went through Appalachia, ch- you know, to Chicago.
