What happened?

Yeah, so I played college golf at the University of Oklahoma.

But I was aspiring to be a great player.

And so I was lucky enough to get invited to the Asian Tour to play my first real professional golf tour in Southeast Asia.

It was 1991.

And so I went over to Asia.

And, you know, I played, I mean, for a rookie, not bad.

And my question, first of all, to you is how did you first approach Mo? Because you don't just walk up and you certainly don't shake his hand and say, "Hi, I wanna learn everything there is to learn about your swing."

Yeah, I, I, you know, I, um...

So Matthew Lane, you might know the name Matthew Lane.

Matthew was my college teammate.

He played the Canadian Tour, uh, probably early '90s.

Um, really, really great player.

Matt and I would, we were, you know, we were golf geeks into the, into the golf swing and always trying to improve ourselves.

So maybe tell our listeners a little bit about that, what you're doing and, and everything with the, the clinics, et cetera, and all that stuff.

brilliant and then during that transition Todd I mean what was your progress like in the game how did it come around for you you mentioned that you probably spent more money you think than anybody else in the world on lessons but what was your transition and your your progression in the game like those years

yeah you know I mean I was a good high school player I won a few tournaments in high school um so growing up I was was known as a pretty good player um I'm not a very big guy, so it's not that I hit the golf ball a long distance and overpowered golf courses.

I really was a technician more than anything.

I was always a pretty good player, just all the way around.

I got a couple of college scholarship offers, but they weren't to any larger colleges.

I wanted to go to a Division I school.

My dad was a doctor.
