How do parents balance that?
13:53
Well, again, that's where we have to check our emotions where we're not coming in and doing it.
13:57
So, you know, it's important for us to open the conversation, to listen to them and then work with them in coming up with solutions.
14:06
But at the same time, we're not going to do everything.
14:07
So like, you know, with your, both of them, you know, start to help them plan out what clothes they're going to do.
14:12
You know, talk about these things.
14:14
Where's the first day? Let's get those things out.

What do you hope that schools are moving toward in how they understand and support students with dyslexia?
35:40
Well, again, we have the knowledge, so we know what it is.
35:44
We know the neurobiology of it.
35:46
We know how to treat it.
35:49
We know how to identify screen for it.
35:54

it just seemed like we reached a tipping point where oh well they're not going to learn to read so we've moved on to assistive technology it can also be they're not going to learn to hand write and so we are on to you know using um speech to text that sort of thing where it's like okay and now there's no more remediation there's no intervention it's just that's their life from now on and i think we want to be careful about that
