How did that turn into you working at Cadence?
1:12
Very good question.
1:13
So my background is actually pretty interdisciplinary.
1:16
I've done research in kind of electrical engineering, uh, mechanical engineering, uh, bioengineering, tissue engineering, et cetera.
1:23
And then during my PhD work, um, as a kind of a bioengineer at Georgia Tech, I realized that the way we do biological research right now is very slow.
1:33
What I mean by slow, um, biology makes incremental discoveries and improvements, and it's very reductionist in nature.
1:42
For example, you might spend years, if not decades, just trying to understand how molecule A on cell A interacts with molecule B on cell B.

So tell me a little bit about like, where does the compute lie? What system does it need to run on? I, I'm very curious.
