What is it about Shannon's writing, do you think, that is so fun and creates these hugely well-rounded characters that we seem to care about, right? What does she do? How does she do it?

Tim SherburnGUEST
[laughs] Well, I think that honestly the, uh, the thing about, about Shannon's writing and the show is that it embraces some very British farcical characteristics which always, f- which I fancy, and, uh, has always been appealing to me, and it works well with this type of script and this type of storytelling.

Tim SherburnGUEST
And she has spent a lot of time to focus on the individual characters, making them individuals.

Tim SherburnGUEST
When we first started out, some of the characters were kind of cookie cutter placeholder.

Tim SherburnGUEST

Tim SherburnGUEST
Oh, what fresh hell is this? I believe I have placed myself in a precarious situation.
