What do you reckon?

Yeah, I think it's great that we have got it ticked off, a T20 tournament in New Zealand.

I think that's potentially starting in 2028, next summer.

But I think it's great for New Zealand.

I think we've got to have...

A tournament like that, it will definitely get more viewership from around the world and it will definitely give players more opportunity to get themselves in the limelight of some of these people with franchise tournaments as well.

So I think it will be great.

Do you worry about the injuries? Are you more prone to injuries? Is that going to become a problem with athletes at your level?

Mm

... and going and getting picked, um, like that.

Um, you know, obviously there's a T20 World Cup, um, that we finished earlier in the year.

And, um, you know, there's a one day World Cup as well, um, coming up that, you know, that's one of my huge goals as well to, to try and make, um, that squad for that World cup.

Um, but at the same time, it's, it's, it's doing it the franchise way rather than, um, kind of potentially going back and playing every domestic game, um, that there is.

So it's just, it's just still playing cricket at the highest level.

It's just doing it a different way that you hopefully can get selected, um, for New Zealand.

I can r- forgo the, the comfort of a, of a national contract, and I want to test myself and see where I can go to make, you know, not just, uh, money, but make a career for yourself." Uh, have there been moments where you're going, "Geez, this, there's easier ways to do this," or has it always been belief that this would be coming to fruition the way it has?

So, you know, it's great to see him performing well and bringing that confidence into the World Cup after a great few months in the big match as well for him.

But yeah, he's just growing as a player and he's, you know, hopefully like myself, we've got many more years to go.

Who do you want to play and how do you make those adjustments after that tournament round-robin experience?

Yeah, look, to be honest, it doesn't matter who we're playing.

The most important thing is that we're in the final.

It's the World Cup at the end of the day, so if you're in the World Cup final, the other team has got to be good as well.

Yeah, 100%.

I think also everyone's kind of had their own success as well in conditions like this, whether it is the Test boys doing unbelievable last year against winning 3-0 Test series.

If it was the ODI boys a few weeks ago in the one days or myself playing a bit of franchise cricket around the world on similar wickets.

So I think we can all take... our own individual experience on playing on wickets like this.

And also, you know, the wicket today was completely different to the wickets that we've been playing against India the last few weeks as well.

So it's just, you know, being able to adapt and that's the big thing in cricket.
