How do you see the government working towards improving that balance in the nearer term?

Well, 28 councils now, Chris, have, uh, over 50%... 50% or over 50% representation out of the, uh, 79 councils.

Um, we're at 43% of female, uh, representation across the local government councilor sector.

So I think we're s- we're, we're seeing that momentum, and there's a target to get that to 50%.

So I think it's about, um, the onboarding of, um, female candidates, the support that's provided there.

Really, the, some of the work that's done by the VLGA is so critical in that support.

But also as well, we've got to call out some of the challenging, um, challenging and gendered, uh, impacts that our councilors have and council candidates have when they put themselves forward.
