Keys to the game against a little bit bigger of a school.

Well, Hazlitt, not only a bigger school, their enrollments, you know, over 700.

Kingsley's enrollments just over 400, so almost twice as much students.

They have a big offense and defensive line, and, you know, their record isn't that good, but they're playing, you know, bigger schools, Division III and Division IV schools.

We're Division VI, so, you know, as far as playoff points go, it could give us a big boast.

Will it be enough to take over Sanford Meridian for first in our region? I don't know.

But, you know, it also could, you know, boost someone else downstate so the region may look different.

How do they keep developing such phenomenal teams, players, year in and year out? I mean, what's kind of the secret sauce? Is it the coaching staff? Is it Kingsley just focuses on football so much from a young age? Or is it kind of a mixture of stuff?

you know take every opponent seriously but you know i was looking at the schedule and the next two teams that you're playing both have a record of two and five uh have struggled against some common opponents things of that nature you know my question was how does this how does kingsley maintain their competitive edge you know their aggression you know going into the postseason when you're gonna be playing good teams when you're to end the regular season you're gonna be playing weaker teams

You know, I think the coaches are, you're right, are focused on week eight and then week nine, Hazlitt.

And I know Hazlitt doesn't have a good record, but they play some, you know, they're division four, so they play a really tough schedule.

So I think that'll be a good game.

And I think... position and you know our coaches are working tirelessly on scouting everyone that's projected right now in our region and you know projected matchups a lot of them are going to be opponents we've already played like you know Elk Rapids is going to probably make the playoffs Charlevoix is going to make the playoffs so those are teams we've already played Harbor Springs I think is going to make the playoffs so they're local teams But I think that's the greatness of our coaching staff is they focus on this game with the kids and they focus on, you know, week 9, 10, 11, 12, hopefully 13, 14.
