How did this record come about?

But I think, you know, what Tara was talking about, we, We write in different ways, but usually it comes from a jam.

And I take to heart something one of the great poets said, which was kind of coming on a line that he wanted to make something out of before he really knew what it meant.

And then, you know, working to fashion it from there.

And I think both with music and lyrics, it's kind of like we find, you know, the operational word is find.

Like we find a riff and then we're like, oh, we could do something with that.

And in the process of making this record, a couple of songs really became something totally different than they started with, particularly on Cocabella, where our friend Greg Peterson plays the piano.

And then I guess beyond that, it's going to fit within the context of the album.

Do you agree? What do you think is going on in our industry broadly and some of the top tier trends that they should be looking

at? Well, we were fortunate.

I mean, we're a three-year-old company.

So we're an AI native company ourselves that we automate everything in our company.

that we possibly can with AI.

So we're very familiar with AI technology.

In the asset world, though, as I mentioned, our main role is to update the systems of record to make sure they have accurate information on the assets.

Do you have any broad thoughts just in general of what my audience should be aware of?

You know, people I imagine come in and they just move a box, they move a server, they move an antenna or something, or they, it gets put in a closet and no one knows where it is or something like that.

Yeah.

So there are two components that we actually capture.

One that you're describing is the location.

So we have partners that are also, I know a lot of people will be the audience of this podcast are familiar with IoT.

We have IoT partners that use RFID and GPS technology to determine the location of the asset, which is an important part of understanding the whole asset picture is the location.

So RFID and GPS technology helps us to know the real time location of the asset, to your point of where things are.

Are there other benefits that come into clarity here?

yeah

so we've we've took it back we've got a whole program now somewhere where we we bring everything back and we took it into year 10 initially then we took it into year 9 and we just thought well why aren't we doing this right away when we call them year 6.5 the new students that come up the year after So our new year sevens, when they now arrive at summer, we start that process straight away through our study skills package.

So I think you hit the nail on the head when you said around the preparation going into the exam.

If our students know that they are fully prepared going in there, that calm and that calmness allows them then to go in and just free their mind open the paper and everything comes flooding through and I suppose we want to take away that distraction within the mind and when I say distraction I don't mean what's going on around them and things I mean their own thoughts so we try really hard just to calm them down as much as we possibly can because then when they go in there they're thinking clearly about when they open that first page what's on that first page let's answer that And that's easier, obviously easier for some people than others.

But what schools do have now that I don't particularly think they had in the past is a lot of people that are there to support.

We do a breakfast session before each of our exams and it's brilliant.

We have 210 people taking the exam.

Yeah.

Give me an example.

So we have three boys, and one...

We were at a, we were at a game, and our oldest, he, Jude, he...

Basketball player.

And he was, he was a young guy.

And Jude's a- as sweet and as nice of a human being you'd ever wanna meet.

I used to say to Shaul, my wife, like, "He needs a little more grit." Holistically, we're trying to raise y- nice young men, but I wish he had a little more grit, right? And that nice young man part is gonna serve him well, but when he's playing basketball, w- wish he had a little more grit.

Yeah.

Well, buddy, you're an incredible human being.

... is that we, we don't see a property manager as this person that has to solve all the problems.

And I think that's why they, they get a bad rap because it's not realistic what we expect of the current property manager, who is generally somebody who's coming into the industry at the, the bottom tier, 'cause we all identify it as the least glamorous job.

So they're coming in and they're wanting to get a start, and so they're starting property management as a young 20-year-old or 25-year-old or whatever it might be, but that's just a beginning and they're learning.

And then you, you give them this job where they've gotta manage maintenance, compliance, leasing, and then relationships with the tenant and landlord.

And then you throw COVID in there, and you throw interest rate rises, and you throw, you know, regulation changes and a- and all of the like, and you, you wonder why that they last six months and then they move, and then you're on this recycling sort of process where each investor says, "I, I've got a different property manager all the time," and it's very frustrating.

So we, we've approached it differently where we see specialists in each area.

I thought, I thought we just got permission and was gonna go.

Alex says, "No, let's go hunt." I was like, "Well, let's get it." So we walk through this little bitty white gate that's probably older than me.

I mean, I'm 57, and that gate, we walked through this little bitty white country gate and walked back to the corner of the field.

Alex said, "Tim, sit right there in front of me." He sat behind me.

We both called just a little bit, and it was just a matter of seconds, them five bir- them, uh, two big gobblers walked right out in the field.And I snapped my fingers over to the right and so Alex could look in that direction because he really couldn't...

He could see that direction with the camera, but we were pointed out straight.
