So we had a choice, I think it was about eight years ago, you know, we can make a nice shiny brochure to show what we can do, or lo and behold, we just build a distillery to bring clients in and show how good we are.

So we thought, not everybody can build a distillery.

Anybody can make a brochure.

Why 49?

Um, there's two good reasons behind it.

The whiskeys that inspired us to make what we make, so there's, yeah, Mark Kolodziej and myself are the co-founders of the distillery, so we did a fair bit of experimenting, as you do, of, uh, to find a, trying to find what, you know, what profile we actually want to get and, and produce and years down the track.
