the birth mother and of the choice that she made and to be able to get questions answered throughout the years as they pop up and for that not to be a mystery and a burden on the child's shoulders.

Yeah, for sure.

I mean, and, stories or really helped us is reading about and listening to other people's stories about what open adoption is not just from the adoptive parents perspective but we've learned from the adoptee perspective or from the birth family perspective hearing their stories is just powerful like what does it look like what does it mean and how do you develop that trust and like you said it's covenant is it's it's a level of trust that you don't normally make.

It's not an everyday thing.

And it requires a lot of faith and just being very transparent.

I mean, words are one thing.

Actions speak louder than words.

To birth parents.

yeah and so then yeah

so then second adoption so um our ariana was two years old when we started it again and we knew we wanted to go back to lifetime and we did we knew more what to expect this time around um and had to repeat things like the home study even though my fingerprints didn't change but that's okay that's what's expected so we go through the home study and uh that process again of creating a profile and a video and all that stuff again and And I think even though we knew what the process was about, we still felt a little bit frustrated that we had to prove that we're worthy to be parents all over again.

But we get it.

That's the legal process of adoption.

That's what has to happen.

But really bring it up to the Lord again of, you know, we want to start this again.

And we know you're in control and you can make it happen.
