Tell us your story, because it started a couple of years ago, didn't it?
4:01
Yeah, really when I was about 50, I started watching YouTube and listened to podcasts on my phone.
4:11
And I was going through a process of losing weight.
4:14
I was kind of heavy at the time, so I was trying to cut some weight.
4:17
And so I started walking and then I started walking trails and I was listening to podcasts while I was doing that.
4:23
And one of your podcasts was one of them that I was listening to.
4:28
And then I downloaded a lot of AT books and that kind of thing.
8:53
you got an injury.
17:14
And you know, the world is looking at this and thinking, has America stepped aside from embracing those values? Is the current administration an aberration? Are we really now in a transactional world? Has America changed?
17:28
I think it's a fair question, but let me also hold up the mirror to the rest of the world.
17:34
It's not as though there aren't unsettled political moments happening all over Europe, right? Uh, everyone's sort of grappling with who they're going to be.
17:44
I would take a step back, and I think you have to do this if you don't want to be part of the sort of maelstrom of political rhetoric and what it's doing to us at home.
17:55
Laurel points out that the Supreme Court has made some really important decisions over the last couple of days.
18:01
Um, you think about birthright citizenship and the effort not only by the administration, um, to change that part of law and part of the Constitution, but the president himself showed up during oral arguments, which was unprecedented.
18:15
And still The idea of birthright citizenship was upheld.

And so Tim, good or bad for the American dream that these people exist and have done what they've done?
36:27
Oh, okay.
36:28
For six years during, during the run of Glee.
36:31
And I calculated I spent three months of each year in my car driving from here to LA, Irvine to LA, to Calabasas, back to Paramount.
36:42
Like it was insane.
36:45
Um, 18-hour days, getting up and arranging a song, going to the set to work with the actors, then going up to Calabasas to the studio, going back down.
36:59
Just physically, emotionally, mentally very taxing, um, the demands of the job.
37:05
I used every tool in my toolbox that I knew to arrange the songs, to hire the singers, to do all the paperwork and the administration, um, to field with the music producer and the show producers or whoever I was talking to.

Um, what's, what do you think your overall mission is?
