Blake GoceyHOST
For you, what then from there is the, the pruning process, or how do you cut out and go from, "Well, maybe that one's actually not a good idea, but this one I, I do feel like is good"? What's, what's that process feel like for you?

Tim BerchetGUEST
Um, so my next kind of thing that I really focus on is the, um, uh, can I close the loop in the last sentence of the script? So open loops are an extremely important concept in conversion copywriting or viral s- viral scripts, uh, Shorts, whatever, whatever you're making.

Tim BerchetGUEST
An open loop is essentially kind of that itch you get in the brain to-- that you wanna know what the answer is to a question or a statement that you just heard, where you, "I just need to know what's, what, what's going to happen." And what you wanna do is once you open that loop, and ideally you'll open that loop within the first, you know, within the hook i- in the beginning, but you'll close it, um, either in the last sentence, right? So people have to watch the entire thing to, to, to kinda close the loop.

Tim BerchetGUEST
Or if you're, if you're a great copywriter, and that's not me, there's l- you know, way better Shorts masters in the world, um, what they'll do is they'll open multiple loops and close them as they go.

Tim BerchetGUEST
And if you open a loop and then close it, or open a loop and open another loop and then close the previous one, and so on and so forth, uh, the more loops you can open and close within, you know, 30 seconds or 40 seconds, the better your Short is actually going to do.

Tim BerchetGUEST
I-- usually I'm way too lazy to try and cram multiple ones into a single Short.
