So before we even get to where, where we at today, what was the thing, what was happening to you in podcasting that like caused you to say, "Nah, dog, you're not, I'm not gonna let you play in my face no more"?

Tiara DarnellGUEST
So I'm originally from, uh, Prince George's County, Maryland, and I did the Peace Corps Morocco for two years.

Tiara DarnellGUEST
And leaving Morocco, I was on a, a path where I thought I was gonna study geography, and I got interested in wine, which led me to Oregon.

Tiara DarnellGUEST
While I was in Oregon, I did do the wine thing, but I ultimately walked away from that, and I ended up working at the front desk at Oregon Public Broadcasting as a receptionist.

Tiara DarnellGUEST
And I was a receptionist, but I always had dreams of being on the second floor with the journalists.

Um, to be building this space for community, for Black people that miss their food, and for Mexican people to try it, and like did you know in the moment, did you know you were building a cultural hub, a place of, of community and of like integrated like vibes? [laughs]
