But what's your take?

yeah maybe it's it probably varies heavily from denomination to denomination i mean i've i've mainly gone to like evangelical anglican church of england churches in the uk so when i was a student that's where i went that's the sort of church i'm at now and i think certainly until recently yeah yeah the narrative was that we're kind of on the back foot um as christians in the uk and And certainly the statistics bear that out.

I mean, our church attendance is a lot lower than the US.

Northern Ireland is like a weird anomaly in a sense that has much higher church attendance.

But yeah, certainly England, like church attendance, that ship had kind of sailed like... people leaving churches, the great de-churching that you guys have been experiencing in the US.

I think in some ways it feels like the UK has been a lot further along that trajectory.

And so our kind of assumption when I was at Christian Union at uni was that our friends are probably like Richard Dawkins, probably have no interest in spirituality whatsoever.

But, you know, talk to me about, do you ever think about this when you do your videos in terms of, What's going on in terms of the audience with respect to what are our cultural icons?

But I kind of needed many more of the cast to be like that rather than just American actors and actresses just wandering around, just saying pretty, pretty low level dialogue, which unfortunately Nolan is partial to in every single film he makes.

Yeah, just quickly to revisit the casting, because I think you're right.

I was maybe being too generous to Nolan there.

He's very meticulous and not many things in his films happen by accident.

It's been interesting.

It used to not bother me, but I think I now do get annoyed by it.

When diversity is kind of shoehorned into a historic epic.
