Huzzah!

I remember when I was growing up there was an old Penguin copy of the inimitable Jeeves in the house and at some point I... gravitated to that i think i liked the idea of a book with a word like inimitable in the title probably quite appealing to a precocious child and i liked old things i used to read a lot of the william books and the anthony bookridge jennings and derbyshire books which are quite heavily indebted to pg woodhouse i think

But to be honest, sometimes I think people make too big a deal about this kind of thing nowadays.

I was very interested to see in terms of the sheer length of Woodhouse's career that the last Euclid story, Euclid Starts a Bank Account, was published in Playboy in July 1967 with illustrations by Edward Gorey and it's just a completely different universe from the world of this Edwardian novel.
