What's the difference between somebody that maybe even has really solid training with that nice voice? What's the difference between that person and somebody that a network, a documentary filmmaker is going to trust with an entire program or documentary or docuseries?

Well,
21:07
I'm going to say it is about the voice sometimes in documentary docuseries work.
21:14
And here's the asterisk.
21:16
It's not about how beautiful the voice is, but does that voice radiate the content, which is part of the reason why when larger companies have the money, they may go to a celebrity because the celebrity has a flavor that even if you don't recognize, I'm going to say the late Paul Sorvino, him doing a documentary about Alcatraz.
21:48
Well, you know what I mean? You don't even have to say, I know that's Pauly Walnuts from Goodfellas, but that he's got that New York, I grew up in that neighborhood sensibility about what prison life might be like.

So I think in the world of TV narration, I tell people that, sure, we're all looking to be variety, but do know where you fit subject matter wise.
25:39
And my question to you is, I mean, it sounds like a fairly... involved process maybe it is maybe it is so so if it is then my question is how do you avoid overthinking all of that and getting way up in your head
