Gersh Agency

He was a patsy, for sure.

In 2014, she joins this talent agency called the Gersh Agency, and this is when her career takes a slight pivot.

Quietly, ever so slightly, she starts falling off the map.

She's doing way less roles, and she starts to move more into the production side of things.

Like every two years on the dot, she would switch up to a new boyfriend.

She had some pretty notable figures like Kid Cudi in there, but nothing noteworthy out of the past boyfriends.

But when she starts working at this Gersh agency, she meets the owner of Gersh agency, which is a guy named Jay Cohen.

He's a former Wall Street banker turned producer.

And you try to get people in to see the work.

And the guy that liked my play the most was John Bozzetti, who was answering Peter Hagen's phone at the Gersh Agency.

So he wasn't even an agent.

He was an assistant to an agent.

So this is screening at the start of the second week, so on the Tuesday and the evening.

It's sold by AGC for international and then Gersh, Cinetic and Range are doing the US deal.

And these deals very much still on the table for major territories.

And at just 92 minutes, it sort of bucks the trend of some other Venice films, which are...

the Gersh Agency.

... or UTA or Gersh or can look over a contract for you when a brand deal comes in and make sure, "This says in perpetuity.

She is a creative executive and producer specializing in animation and genre content.

She's worked at Crunchyroll, Gersh, Freeform, Boom Studios, not necessarily in that order, and currently at Analog, which is her consulting banner, specializing in sci-fi, fantasy, horror, animation, anime, and graphic novels.

She launched Power Producers, a directory of vetted film and TV consultants for hire who have worked as an executive somewhere.

And she's really fun to talk to.

And then eventually I got an iPhone and I still navigated via bus for a long time.

I know that you went from being an intern at Village Roadshow and then eventually you became an assistant at Gersh.

But the entertainment career world was obviously, as you're speaking about it, it was different then than I'm sure it is now.

Yeah

... um, and I saw this next, you know, uh, avenue where I'm like, "Oh, I can put my, like, business street smart and experience at William Morris," and I'd been an intern at Gersh, and I'd done, and I'd done a semester at USC.

And the film industry, it just sort of, like it kinda made sense to me-
