So can you explain what an electromagnetic field is, and is it naturally occurring, and the difference between naturally occurring electromagnetic fields and, uh, manufactured EMFs?
3:22
Most people when they hear EMFs, they think of danger, harm, and man-made.
3:29
But an EMF, or an electromagnetic field, is natural.
3:34
So the sun is the largest electromagnetic emitter in our world, and it emits electromagnetic fields in many wavelengths and frequencies.
3:44
So sunlight is an electromagnetic field.
3:47
It's a visible form of electromagnetics, and we know that there's healing forms of sunlight, infrared and red light.
3:54
People are buying these infrared and red light panels for home therapy, or they go, I don't know, to the gym, and they have a red light panel, and they use it to heal and do all sorts of things.

Yeah

11:53
What do you think?
11:55
We've definitely made the connection from a research standpoint.
11:59
So if you look at academic research like PubMed, the National Institute of Health, the World Health Organization, American Medical Association, all of those entities Have seen thousands of studies since the 1990s and before about how important light is to our biology.
12:20
What we have not seen is public dissemination of that knowledge, and there could be many reasons for that.
12:27
So back in the early 1900s, late 1800s, when industrialization was picking up, you know, people would get industrial diseases like rickets, and they thought it was based on the food they were eating.
12:39
And what they quickly found is it was due to the smog and the smoke and people not being exposed to sunlight, so they would prescribe people going to the mountains to get natural sunlight.
12:50
And even the hospitals were taking children and, and patients outdoors to heal them.

Thank you for supporting Modern Ancestral Mamas.
1:26
Thaddeus, do you want to tell us, or Heidi, how you guys got started in this?
1:30
Yeah.
1:31
So one thing that I came to realize as I started my working career is that when we're children, especially us that are over 50, when we are children, we are outside all the time, exposed to natural sunlight.
1:44
We are out in nature.
1:46
And once we start our career, regardless of what that is, for me, I was working in the pharmaceutical industry as a research scientist for a decade.
1:55
and i came from the outdoors to the indoors so between school university and then my corporate job i rarely got outdoors and especially in the winter i was indoors all the time because it would be dark when i drove to work and it'd be dark when i drove home from work in the winter time in a northern environment and i from the time of 18 all the way until i was almost 40 years old i had massive anxiety and insomnia and what i didn't realize when i was trying to solve that with pills and potions and all sorts of over-the-counter medications sleep hypnosis tracks whatever it was what i didn't realize is that my light environment was one of the biggest factors affecting both my insomnia and my anxiety And it took me over five years of reading research, learning about quantum mechanics and quantum biology to finally realize that the answer was really simple.
2:55
Get outside.
