What is the internal discussion behind the company's tier one threshold and why is the company willing to walk away from advanced assets that many mid-tier miners would aggressively build or even operate?
19:03
Yeah, thanks for the question, Rob.
19:05
I mean, when we, When you're strategically looking at sort of portfolios needs, we were facing a declining production profile to the 2030s and sentiment being a single asset producer in a part of the world we're comfortable with, even though Egypt is quite different to, I mean, all of African countries are different and Egypt is different again to where we are in Tanzania and Ghana and Guinea.
19:38
But, I mean, I give a lot of credit to Martin Horgan, who's also been on this show a couple of times, along with Michael Stoner and the rest of the team at Sentiment.
19:48
I mean, they did an amazing sort of five-year turnaround under Martin's leadership of an asset that had been high-graded in the past, deprived of capital, and they really turned it around and set up a predictable, capitalized, stable operation.
20:06
And We started engaging on a potential discussion to bring that into a larger company which can continue to deploy capital without as much restrictions as a single asset producer and really advance a project, share technology through the company.
20:26
I mean, we have a large technical services group, for instance, that a single asset producer just doesn't have.

When you look at the data for a project that a geological team is deeply passionate about, what specific red flags tell you it's time to defund the project, fail fast and redeploy the capital elsewhere?
16:53
Terry, if I could start with you from your Anglo Gold perspective and from your own personal experience.
17:00
Yeah, this is a great question.
17:02
And, you know, let's be honest, there's rarely just a single issue.
17:06
I mean, if you look at the large scale, long since discovered copper gold projects from the Northern Cordillera in North America, down through the Andes in South America.
17:15
I mean, this includes Pebble, Donlan, KSM, Galore Creek, Resolution, La Colossa, Cascabel, La Granja, Michiquiay, Caspici, Takataka, Agrarica, Alhambra, Norte Alberto, Pascalama and several others.
17:33
And this is in times of record commodity prices and demand for metals.
17:38
They remain undeveloped.

Terry, from your point of view, from inside a major that has operations across exploration, brownfield growth, greenfield development, and based on what we've been saying, how do you decide what opportunities deserve management time and capital?
