What are you hearing from your community members and parishioners?

Thank you so much, Reverend Al, for having me on.

Lily Grove has a social justice ministry that we've organized in recent months headed by two very capable young people, Michelle Moore and Anthony Washington.

And what we want to do is join with LULAC and the NAACP and Houston Area Urban League and every other organization that wants to join us.

Because as you recall, I called you the other day because I think it would be disingenuous of us if the whole world got involved when George Floyd was killed and then we don't come back for the killing of this man on the east end of Houston.

As you know, the policy of the Trump administration is not really about immigration enforcement.

It's not about that at all, I don't think, because his parents were immigrants.

What is resistance looking like, Reverend?

Tell everybody you know, things will never be the same.

Let the words of my mouth, the meditation of my heart, Be acceptable in your sight.

Oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer.

In the strong name, he who loves our souls, even Jesus Christ.

To my warm friend and brother beloved, Pastor Bryant and Dr. Bryant and to the Reverend clergy and all of you, my brothers and sisters in the Lord, real worship does not occur because there is a preacher in the pulpit or because there is a choir in the choir loft, deacons or ushers in their places.

Real worship can only occur when he who is holy permits us who are dust to come into his presence.
