How did you find yourself working in Germany, and what is the work of a foreign correspondent? And then I'm also just wondering, how did you learn to speak German so well that you can be a journalist in Germany?

So I'm from Vermont, which seemingly has nothing to do at all with Germany.

I'm a sixth-generation Vermonter, which I'm very proud of.

I graduated from the University of Vermont in 1974.
