What how would you describe the Dexter Lawrence net effect on that locker room?

You know, he's come in and instantly a leader.

You know, guys just gravitate towards him and listen to what he has to say.

So, you know, it was a no-brainer that he fit in to this organization and to our team chemistry because I played with him in college.

So he was the same exact way in college.

And so that's good to see that, you know, it's been years later that he's still the same exact person and still the same exact leader that he was.

Can you sort of like take me into how you did that? How did you get to the point where he's looking at you on third?

Yeah, obviously, you know, once, you know, Jamar got here, I knew that they had that chemistry already from college days.

What was it like before all the fame and the lights and all that? What was kind of growing up like?

Yeah, growing up was a little rough, a little tough.

A lot of people do know my story already, but with my mom, she was in and out of the house doing drugs and things of that nature, jail as well.

Around that time, I was living with my aunties and my grandma.

Started playing football around like the age of like, you know, four, four, four or five.

And one game, it's funny.

I mean, so many guys tell us all the time, "Man, I wish the opportunities that were in college were available when we were playing." I mean, do you think about that a lot? Like, how much your college journey would've been different if you had NIL or transfer portal, all these other sorts of things?

I definitely think about it, but at the same time, I liked, I liked it how, how it was when I was in college.

Uh, it's very easy to manage, um, not looking for... 'Cause you have to work hard to get, in order to get to the big money.

You know, I'm not saying that kids don't have to do that now, which I'm, I'm pretty sure they do, but it was a little harder to, to get to the NFL, you know what I mean? And 'cause guys can have, they can have these big NIL deals and if they manage their money right, they could be set for life and not even make it to the NFL, you know what I mean? So, um, yeah, I just, I liked it a little better.

L- Gotta grind it out and get to the money, so.

I, I'm just curious your thoughts on, on the turf versus natural grass debate, especially given the fact that all these stadiums put in this grass for the World Cup this summer.

Exactly, man.
