So where do you see the biggest shifts in works, uh, happening over the next five to 10 years?
11:24
Yeah, I mean, we're already seeing shifts.
11:26
I mean, I think first of all, like I said before, there's a lot that's being attributed to AI, a lot of job loss that's being attributed to AI that I think is not right, it's not necessarily fair.
11:34
But we certainly will see jobs being lost.
11:37
We'll see jobs changing.
11:38
That's happening already, right? And a lot of this is happening on, on the lower levels, right? People are seeing that, you know, younger Uh, you know, entry level jobs, uh, are disappearing or they're not disappearing, they're maybe they're requiring a, a lot fewer people.
11:50
And that makes sense, right? Because AI can do a bunch of that work.

5 MINS LATER

AmosHOST
17:00
Lastly, before we go, so what does peak performance mean to you personally today? And what's one belief about work or intelligence that you have completely changed your mind about?
SanaHOST
17:22
So do you think that this is something which is possible as well when AI gets to mimic the emotional intelligence that we humans have got?
17:31
I think it can.
17:32
I think it's certainly today not perfect at mimicking emotions.
17:38
But I think that certainly we're going to see it be much more difficult for humans to tell the difference.
17:45
The Turing test, which was whether or not you can tell a response was coming from a machine or not, was the gold standard for a while.
17:51
And modern LLMs have blown through that, right? It's near impossible until it makes a mistake or says something silly to determine whether it's a human or an AI on the other side of the house.
18:03
But when you talk about things like emotions, I think that is something different.
SanaHOST
22:08
AI has come very suddenly,
0:00
So what can we actually optimize in our lives in the current stage of available technology then?
0:06
Yeah, yeah.
0:07
I mean, listen, I think that we talked about what's difficult to optimizing scheduling, right? And then specifically, I meant here trying to schedule when you've got to travel and you do events and these kinds of things.
0:18
And really, it's because humans are in the loop and humans have so much going on.
0:22
And what I was saying is that Some people are using AI.
0:25
I use AI to help my scheduling, but until everyone has something completely working for them all the time, thinking about it, getting your head together, then these things are just going to happen because people get late, people get delays, people get sick, all these kinds of things happen, and then the ripple effect is so huge.
0:40
I spend way too much time sorting out and trying to figure out exactly the complicated nature of getting travel and these kinds of things working right.
1:36
right? How can we optimize? But do we really need to optimize everything?
29:36
So how do you choose the events and how did the distribution and promotion strategy evolve now since your first books?
29:45
Yeah, yeah.
29:46
Well, the first book I released during COVID.
29:47
So my book tour was all this, right? So that that kind of answers that, right? It's interesting, because, you know, I, you know, we publish this ourselves, we publish our own books, you know, and so, you know, we don't have a PR person or something doing this.
30:01
So it's all me, and all us, I should say.
30:03
And, but it's mostly me in terms of like, figuring out what I want to do, where and why, as we discussed, right, the scheduling can be kind of painful.
30:09
But Interestingly enough, as I was saying to you earlier, I live right by New York City.
33:08
Get
15:19
Congrats, what's your book about? Thank you.
15:21
It's about, so it's called Ageless Peak Performance.
15:23
It is about how humans can, whoa, how humans can do their best.
15:26
See, I'm no AI, so I have all that stuff.
15:28
How humans can perform at their best with AI.
15:29
So the idea of using AI as a tool.
15:32
So as opposed to replacing humans, the idea of 8 billion humans aren't going anywhere.
16:17
What do you do in your mornings with AI? Tell your relationship in the mornings.
MikeHOST
13:02
What, you know, what's a guy over 50 potentially doing that's a, a mistake?
13:07
Yeah, so the first mistake is saying, "I don't need to pay attention to this," right? I, I think that is a big...
13:14
Or, "I'm gonna do it.
13:15
I'm using AI," you know, and you just, just 'cause you type something into ChatGPT cl- you say, "I'm using AI," right? Um, honestly, Mike, this is transformational.
13:23
I believe that what's happening here is happening, is, is basically what had happened for blue-collar work, this is happening to white-collar work, okay? And the s- I think people and your listeners will understand on an obvious level what the parallel is.
13:35
The non-obvious parallel is what is your sense of worth, okay? Think about the people who used to be able to go to that auto plant and provide for their families, right? And, like, and not, like, a little, like, like, great lives, okay? And then the span of decades, that completely vaporized, right? Gone.
13:54
Like, those jobs, like, maybe the few of them are left, but they reduced or whatever, right? Obviously, offshoring, automization, all that kind of stuff that, that really just hurt, you know, a lot of people that were working with their hands, right? And the...
MikeHOST
16:56
What ideas are you suggesting when it comes to AI for a guy like you at 50, and let's say a guy like me at 60, and then even beyond? Like, what are, what are some ways we can actually manifest this ageless peak performance?
