I'm really excited.

in Miami that season but also rewarding in some ways and I know you're a guy that takes something from every situation so like obviously you've got your time in New England but that year in Miami what did you take away from that season

[laughs]

And, uh, we, you know, there's a lot of work to be done.

Uh, I think we're on the right track.

Um, you know, I'm not a prediction guy.

I'm an internal goals guy.

You know, I'll throw out, I think...

I'll thr- you know, I'll throw out Super Bowl when it's appropriate, but as o- as of June 2nd right now, I am gonna just m- continue to do my job to the best of my ability.

Yeah.

But, but him and, him and BP are, are really great additions.

And, you know, you never know how a guy's gonna pan out, but, um, I had such great veterans when I was a young player that I've always felt the need to, to pass that on.

So I've been helping these guys out every day, and they, uh, they've been getting better.

You know, Connor's coming off an ACL, and, and BP, uh, we don't know where he's gonna fit in.

But I think, you know, both of these guys, I think that's just e- even another sign of the health of the program, to be able to go and take a guy in the fourth round that maybe not be able to ready go right away-

But we have a lot of places targeted all over the city, and some amazing donors.

When you see that from QB1 in May, and it was May at the time, what goes through your mind? What tone does that set for the rest of the team and organization?

I think that's a great goal.

And it's always our goal.

But there's a lot of football to be played until then.

So I don't concern myself with February 27 right now.

We got Dexter again tomorrow.

And there's a lot of work to be done.

I still do, to this day, every single day.

Everyone's asking me, like, "What is this?" 'Cause it looks kinda dorky.

But I just, like, I can't, I can't play center without it 'cause that's just how I was...

I'd never played center before I got to New England, so that was how I, I learned center.

Man.

Yeah.

And no one seemed to wanna commit to me to be the guy.

Um, and it was probably my last chance.

I was 28, about to turn 29.

And finally, Cincy gave me a three-year deal.

And we're just...

I'm just down in Fort Lauderdale.

Wow, yeah, yeah, yeah.

But I think we had a, we had a, we had a productive meeting though, and, you know, to be fair, we are in the middle of a, of a 10-year CBA, so it's not...

We have, don't have too many pressing issues.

But to get to, uh, AJ's question, you know, I, I think that, th- they've been onboarding me.

I've been in a few, few meetings with them.

Um, you know, I think, you know, what we're gonna do on the EC is kinda delegate roles that people are interested in and just kinda do a light investigation into things and, and kind of see if we can expand some of our processes, how are the guys feeling.

My big thing is I'd like to educate, uh, our membership more on like just the, just, just, just the standard things so that, you know, big FAQ packet that you get in your locker, like a little, almost like a pocket constitution, but for our CBA and our rules and policies, just so everyone can reference it.

You know, because like a lot of teams are very successful at it, a lot of teams aren't, and I think that's one of the reasons they're trying to outlaw it.
