With OpenWire, we changed out for what Ted can explain as TreeWire, a heavily jacketed cable, you know, meant for these applications.
26:42
The best way for me to differentiate the two is obviously, you know, Hendrix makes both of them, but a spacer cable system is a covered conductor that is supported by the messenger in a very tight, close configuration, supported by those diamond-shaped spacers that David was talking about before.
26:59
What we call tree wire is really covered ACSR.
27:02
So you build it in much more, you know, like your traditional open wire systems, but it is a covered system.
27:10
Now, the material that we use, the thickness of that covering and everything is identical to to spacer cable.
27:17
But again, the core conductor is going to be steel reinforced ACSR or aluminum versus the all aluminum conductor.
27:27
So it's mechanically strong enough to support its own weight.

So Don't feel afraid to reach out to your neighbor for advice or reach out to me or anyone like me that has already been through these issues and kind of has real stories that you can kind of share and discuss.
22:32
What do you think fed on this question? You know, kind of looking ahead, how it might change how utilities are planning and investing?
22:42
Yeah, I mean, when we talk about, you know, demand, we can talk about, you know, the amount of electricity, the amount of power being used.
22:48
But also, you know, to Dave's point again, you know, demand for reliability has never been higher.
22:56
And it's just going to go up.
22:59
And I think utilities especially are... really doing a much better job of kind of looking more so at lifecycle costs, O&M costs over the next, you know, 20, 30 years when they're evaluating some of these solutions.
23:18
You know, the mistake a lot of utilities will make is, well, you know, how much is this spacer cable, for example, per foot? versus the bare wire that we're selling now or that we're buying now.
23:31
Why would we ever do that? But you can't just look at the material costs.
27:58
What about you, Ted? Do you have a good practical takeaway for our utilities?
