Well, no pool this week.

I was yesterday, which was nice, so hopefully next week.

But we do know President Trump is traveling to Cleveland, Ohio Tuesday.

Uh, he's going to Geneva for the Patriots game, and this is all about having, um, s- bringing students from around the country, young athletes, to participate in several different athletic events.

And at the end, one boy and one girl will be offered a, or gifted a $125,000 scholarship, uh, if they win, for college.

So this is incredible.

People have access to President Trump.

And in his word, I hope.

I think that this topic of waiting, not in a passive fashion, but in a hopeful expectation like manner is really hard for me.

Because I tend to get very wrapped up in my emotions when I am in seasons of confusion, in seasons of waiting, because I think what is often going on that we don't really take a lot of time to focus on is a lot of emotional undercurrents that can sweep us, if we're not careful, away from this posture of hopeful expectations.

Because if God wants you in a season of waiting, he is going to have you in a season of waiting, okay? We can either go into it kicking and screaming, or we can go into it with a willingness in our heart to learn to trust him, to grow in our character.

And I think that, you know, me as somebody who was very interested in counseling, I was in school for it for a little bit and I'm not in it anymore, but I've learned a lot of valuable things from that season.

And one of those things is being mindful of your emotions when you're going through something is extremely important, especially if you're wanting to grow in your character.

So I'm envisioning myself in a dark place and I can't see the end, but that light just gives me enough for safety for that next step.

I don't like pet insurance.

For context, I have a dog.

In the past, I've had multiple dogs, multiple cats.

I think pet insurance is more of an emotional decision than it is a financial decision.

If you look at insurance as a whole in any industry, it is a for-profit business, which means statistically you will pay more in premiums than you get back in coverage.

So I also think there's a bit of an empathy gap.

But what about if you take your pet to the vet, and they, heavens forbid, have cancer, and the cost of the treatment exceeds what you have in your high-yield savings account? What are the financial risks of that? And in that case, isn't it better to have pet insurance?
