I was a choir girl for a really long time.

I've always been [laughs] the princess, and I always put performances on as a kid, and then it just bled into real life as well.

And playing weird and wonderful roles, something I've never wanted to stop doing.

What prompted the idea to tackle serious subjects with lighthearted song and dance?

Well, I think that's what theater is, really.

It's a rainbow of emotion and feeling surrounded by song and dance.

It's so important for us to remain aware of where we've come from and where we are now, and a good way to do that is through song and dance, baby.
