What was the spark? What got you into advocacy?

Uh, okay.

Partially, I say it as a joke, but Laurie Halse Anderson, like, literally said, "I'm seeing more bans," in 2021 on Twitter.

And I loved Speak.

Speak meant so much to me.

And I was like, "Okay, Laurie Halse Anderson said someone should keep track.

I'll keep track." And I made this really sad little Google spreadsheet, and I dropped it on the web and I said, "Hey, I hope this helps." And then people started contacting me.

What gets you out of bed in the morning? How do you keep doing this?
