Right.

Where are folks coming from when the s- the, the, [lips smack] uh, current outlook for a career in early childhood education, whether it's center-based or home-based, is not very appealing from a compensation standpoint, right? Um, and so there are a couple of things that we are trying to, uh, secure funding to pilot and test.

Um, uh, micro-credentialing, so s- smaller bursts of opportunities for people to pursue higher education, to get credentialed, to, to get back into school to explore these opportunities.

Um, mentoring and coaching, where current, current, um, certified teachers would take an aspiring teacher under their wing.

Um, uh, what do they call? Apprenticeship programs, um, where we could, uh, provide opportunities for either young people who are still in high school or out of school, out of work young people, um, young adults can participate in an apprenticeship program to explore this as a career opportunity.

Um, where we would again provide them st- or provide them stipends, and again, provide their professional early childhood education certified teacher a stipend to coach them along the way, where that would lead to them perhaps participating in a, um, CDA program, um, which is, like, the associates, Child Development Associates program as an entry-level credential.

Um, and then there's, like, truly the hard stuff, right? Those are the, [chuckles] the easy thing.
