Can you tell me more about your goals of organizing and what you've been able to accomplish so far? Because it is significant.
22:18
So part of part of the results have been like building a base of people, everyday people who are talking about it.
22:28
So changing the narrative, changing the narrative and not just English, but Spanish and French.
22:32
So you're hearing about the oxygen nitrogen having being spoken in neighborhoods.
22:38
The second part of this is we're in this unique position of having relationships with tenants associations and with landlords.
22:46
And under the Biden administration, we knew that the Inflation Reduction Act was going to make this huge pot of climate funding available to help families transition from dirty gas to clean, affordable electric energy.

When we talk about indoor pollutants specifically, what should we be paying attention to, and how do these pollutants get inside homes in the first place?
15:35
You know, Adama referred to making the invisible visible, and that has been at the crux of our organizing work.
15:45
So we have these pipes that are bringing in natural gas into our homes, and it's highly pressurized.
15:52
And when that natural gas, which is mostly methane, but also includes some other gases, is combusted when it meets that fire, for example, in our stoves, there's all kind of impurities that happen and other kinds of pollutants that are released inside our homes, like nitrogen dioxide.
16:10
And Gloria, I had no idea until I attended this training with Adama that I also was inhaling nitrogen dioxide in my home every day for hours, and my children were exposed to nitrogen dioxide as well.
